A fun day at the beach

It started off as a normal Friday morning at Pt England school. Ms Tito marked the roll and finished checking that everyone was here.  We went to our hall and waited for Mr Burt (the principle).  After everything was sorted we headed down to the Pt England Reserve/beach for a fun day in the sun.

As soon as we got there we got into lines and Mr Burt told us more rules.  When he said we could go, I rushed strait down to the beach and played in the sand with my friends.

When we had finished building a small pond in the sand I gathered some of my other friends and we set up a picnic blanket and had a small shared morning-tea together.

When the time had come and the teams 1,2,3 and 4 had their swim it was time for my team to have their swim and  jump of the rocks, it was so much fun!! When we finished swimming it was already time for lunch.

When we had eaten our yummy lunch my friends and I went off to the the beach again and played long jump off a small rock wall on to the sand.

Mr Burt's voice told us it was time to head back to school everyone sighed but was grateful that we had a really fun day and good weather.

Pt England School Drumming group

For the last five weeks or so Pt England school has been holding a drumming group where we learn to drum.

when the  drumming tutor came in I was so surprised that the tutor was my dad. When my dad came in one week he brought a bucket full of all drum sticks for us to take home and practice the drills he had taught us earlier.

When the next three weeks had gone and we learnt our drills of by heart the teachers had decided that it was time for a performance on the next Pt England Friday assembly.

When the time came around and we went on stage it was nerve racking but fun at the same time. As the performance had finished Everyone in the audience was clapping and cheering and I was so proud of what I did.
